| About UIC Men's Volleyball |

We are a group of students dedicated to playing on a competitive men's volleyball team that travels to tournaments throughout the Midwest and country. The team practices twice a week and travels to tournaments on the weekends. Because of the extreme rarity of men's NCAA volleyball teams, schools usually form athletic clubs, with the teams being a good compromise between athletics and fun. The team also plays NCAA, NAIA, and USAV teams in tournaments. | 2010-2011 Season Recap |

The Fall semester started out on a high note as the team won their first tournament in 2 years at Wheaton College, beating out DePaul University in the finals. The team also had many big wins and upsets at their other tournaments, where they placed highly. During the Spring semester, UIC hosted its own tournament and won against Lewis University in a marathon of a tournament. The semester was also highlighted by a Gold bracket finish in the marquee Hoosier-Illini tournament held in Indiana. The team made the trip down to Houston, TX for the National Championship Tournament and competed in Division 1AA to finish in 9th place. UIC is looking to build off of a very successful season with 2011-2012 coming up. They return All-American Setter Kha Tran along with the entire team and with a few more key pieces, look to bring a National Championship to Chicago. |

| Spring 2010 |
|
The start of the Spring semester brings the start of the 2010 Men's Volleyball Club Season. The Men's Club team has high hopes for this semester and will be participating in numerous events around the Midwest. In the upcoming semester UIC will be a part of the newly formed Great Plaines Men's Volleyball Conference under the guidance of MIVA. A major part of the Spring semester is the NCVF National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky which the team will be attending. The UIC Men's Volleyball Club is optimistic about the 2010 season and hopes to turn that optimism into success! |

Overall the UIC Men's Volleyball Club had a successful fall semester. The Men's Club team participated in three tournaments (Indiana, NIU, Illinois) which resulted in two Gold bracket finishes! Outside of tournaments the team participated in and won matches against Northeastern, IIT, and Loyola Chicago! |

| 2009-2010 Season Tryouts |
| The Men's Club Volleyball Team will be hosting tryouts on Thursday, September 2nd, 2009 from 6-8:30PM on the MAC Courts (behind the rock climbing wall) in the Student Recreational Facility. Please try to wear a t-shirt or jersey preferably with a number so that you are distinguishable. I am also happy to announce that we will NOT charge a tryout fee this year! So be there early and spread the word. Tell all your friends, acquaintances, classmates, etc. Once again the tryout is FREE! I look forward to seeing you all there. |

| Upcoming 2009-2010 Season Tryouts/Open Gyms |

The first week of school we will hold two open gyms on Tuesday(8/25) and Thursday(8/27) from 6:00 to 8:30 on the MAC Courts (behind the rock climbing wall) in the Student Recreational Facility. These open gyms will be very casual just so some of us get back in to volleyball shape etc. The following Tuesday we will have the actual tryouts at the same time and location. Hope to see everyone there. More information will be posted later. |

Make sure you mention that you are there for UIC Club Volleyball, as 25% of profits that night go toward the clubs. The event is 18+ and 21 to drink. Thanks for the support! | 2008-2009 Season |

The 2008-2009 season is starting and with much gusto! Tryouts for the UIC-A and UIC-B team are scheduled for September 16th from 6:00 - 8:30 PM at the Student Rec Facility (SRF). This year, expect UIC to expand upon the roles of returning players and rely on fresh new talent to make their place within the elite Midwest Conferences.
